my study area comprises of two approaches:
The role of guard cell chloroplasts in coordinating response from mesophyll to stomata
The change in global climate is posing a threat to food security as a result of reduced water availability and rising temperature. Stomata control gas exchange between the leaf interior and the outside atmosphere and therefore photosynthesis and transpiration. The behaviour, morphology and distribution of stomata respond to intracellular and environmental variables and untangling of the mechanisms of these responses towards possible improvement of water use and plant productivity requires integrated approaches.
